Gene was a loving, kind and gentle person who touched many lives. Gene was an outstanding husband, father, grandfather, father-In-law, brother and uncle. He worked his entire life until forced into retirement in 1997 due to Scleroderma. He loved his church family, reading his Bible and praying. He lived for God.

Lee Gene was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mary Josephine and father, Allen S. Brown Sr; brothers, Johnny and Allen Jr.; sisters, Dorothy, Garnie, and Betty Jo.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Edna Claudine Brown, Foster-son, Curtis Wilson; daughter, Mary Jo and grandchildren, Michael, Christy and Chelsea Shamburger; one very special brother, Arvie Brown and sisters, Claudia, Nela, Mary and Margie also his many beloved In-Laws, nieces, great nieces, nephews, and great nephews too numerous to name. Although his nieces and nephews, Stacey, Julie, Todd, Holly, C.C. and Amber Poland were considered his second set of children.

Special thanks to Sister Carson and family for the spiritual guidance and prayers throughout Gene's life. "Thanks" to Lou Dickson for being there. He loved you all and his dying wish is to be reunited with each of his loved ones in heaven and for you to walk with God. A special emphasis on getting the children to church. " II Timothy 4: 7, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."

Pallbearers will be his nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund for Bible Baptist Church, 8985 Woolsworth Road, Shreveport, LA 71129. God Bless
