Amos W. Dietrich
Former Grocer, Dies
Amos W. Dietrich, who was in the grocery business in this borough for approximately 16 years, died Wednesday evening at 9 o'clock at St. Joseph Hospital, Lancaster, following an illness which lasted approximately eight weeks. Death was due to a complication of diseases.
Mr. Dietrich, who was sixty one years of age, was as an active member of the Evangelical Congregational Church here and played an important part in the work of the Sunday School. After selling his business here he engaged in the grocery business in Lancaster until forced to retire by his recent Illness.
He is survived by his wife, Mae Winehold Dietrich, and the following brothers and sisters: Mollie, of Lancaster; Andrew, of Philadelphia; Mrs. Harry Herr, Millport; Mrs. John Ludwig, Lebanon, R. D. 2; Madison, of Lititz, R. D. 1.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 P. M., daytlight saving time, in the Spacht Funeral Home, here. Internment will be made in the Groffdale Mennonite
Cemetery. Friends may call at Spacht's Funeral Home Friday from 7 to 9 P. M.
