MRS. ELIZABETH SAMS
Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Sams, 429 Elm St., died Monday at 11 p.m. in City Hospital following a several weeks' illness. She was 72.
Born at Millfield, Athens County, Mrs. Sams was a daughter of the late Solomon and Sarah Davis Male. She resided in East Liverpool for several years.
She leaves a son, Darrell E. Sams of Scranton, three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Daily of Mt. Perry, and Mrs. Glennis Byland and Mrs. Kathleen Gotchall, both of East Liverpool; three brothers, Tinker Sams of Chester, Everett Sams of Guysville, and Russell Sams of Millfield and 9 great-grandchildren.
Rites will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Dawson Funeral Home by the Rev. Archie McGaffick, pastor of the Chester Free Methodist Church. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery near Chester.
Friends may call tonight and Wednesday at the funeral home.
