Grover Raymond Adams, 64, of 1505 22nd St., Phenix City, died Sunday in Birmingham, Ala.
A graveside funeral will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Lakeview Memory Gardens, according to Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City.
Mr. Adams was born Apr 18, 1828, in Brundidge, Ala, son of Bobby and Ophelia Adams. He worked for Fieldcrest Mills and attended Golden Acres Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Nell; a daughter, Sandra Kay Slocumb of Phenix City; a son, James R. Martin of Smiths, Ala.; three sisters, Sara Sanders of Savannah, Ga., Bobeline Hall of Phenix City and Erie Sneed of Atlanta; four brothers, James Adams, Raiford Adams, George Adams, all of Phenix City, and Edward Adams of Bonifay, Fla., four grandchildren.
