Hiram Micajah Crockett died at the home of his son, Fred Crockett, near Keiser Wednesday afternoon supposedly from a complication of ailments and following a congestive chill during the preceding night.
The body was taken to the old home, Maynard, Arkansas where funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. A. Goodwin, pastor of the Christian church and interment made in the Maynard Cemetery where two of his children, daughters, rest.
Mr. Crockett was 74 years old and had been in poor health for some time, suffering from malaria and kidney trouble.
He is survived by his wife and four sons, Fred and Russell, both of Osceola, Clovis of Wilson and D. R. of Pocahontas.
