Cravens, 69, of Paris, died at 11:53 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, at Paris Community Hospital. He was a civil service technician with the Illinois National Guard. Services are 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ray Roberts officiating. Burial is in Edgar Cemetery. Visitation is from noon until the service time Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Cravens was born July 31, 1937, at Paris, the son of the late Forest ?Bill? Benjamin Cravens and the late Frances Justice Cravens. He married Mary Mooney on Dec. 16, 1972, at Paris. She survives. He is also survived by two sons, Allen Cravens of Paris and Tommy Cravens of Tuscola; one daughter, Loretta Morgan of Paris; two brothers, Tommy Cravens of Columbus, Ga., and Terry Cravens of Bradenton, Fla.; one sister, Joyce Switzer of Marshall; four grandchildren, Chandra Cravens of Savanna and Weslee Morgan, Wayde Morgan and Whyatt Morgan, all of Paris. Mr. Cravens was an Illinois National Guard veteran of Operation Desert Storm. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3601. He was involved with Paris Saints Football and operated the concession stand for the team. He enjoyed camping and playing Santa for the children.
