|Birth: ||Nov. 7, 1822|
|Death: ||Jun. 6, 1908|
Married to Charles H. Moran 22 May 1838 in Sumter Co., Alabama. She was born in Alabama in the Choctaw Nation, emigrated to Texas about 1842, and came to Indian Territory in the late 1870s. She was an original Choctaw enrollee, 1/8 Choctaw; mother of 10 children, 9 of whom are listed in an 1879 document (found on Fold3.com in the file of Marmaduke Moran) recognizing Elizabeth Moran and her decendants as citizens of the Choctaw Nation.
The family of Charles H. Moran was living in Fayette County, Texas in 1870, but he is not named in the 1879 tribal document, so he is presumed to have died in Texas between 1870-79. Burial place is unknown.
Elizabeth is the granddaughter of Jacob Buckholtz, a Revolutionary War patriot from South Carolina.
