Mrs. J. A. Anthony, who has been in declining health for some time, but not confined to her bed except at intervals, on last Friday evening was stricken seriously ill, and died within an hour's time. Aut Ida, as she was called by many, was a good woman and a devoted Christian, a dutiful wife, a loving mother and a kind neighbor. She will linger in our memory for all time to come for loyalty and devetion, but to her Savior, family and friends.
She leaves behind a loving husbnd, seveal weeping children, grand children, sisters and other relatives, together with a host of friends to weep after her departure; but we do not weep as those who have no hope, for she was true to the trust resposed in her, and we commend the grief stricken ones to God and the Word of His Care, which alone can bear them up in this dark hour. Funeral services were conducted from the Bethlehem Baptist chuch with Rev. A. C. Yeargin in charge.
