Roy S. Isbell, son of John Isbell, founder of the Isbell Construction Company, died in Phoenix Tuesday.
His brother Clement was also a founder of the company.
Isbell was born in Escondido, Calif., April 25, 1893, and was educated in southern California schools.
He moved to Arizona from Reno about 15 years ago. In Reno he was vice president in charge of the highway division for the construction company. In Arizona, he was Vice President and general manager of the mining and highway division.
Isbell had been semi-retired for about five years. He retired from the organization in August.
He was a member of the Las Palmas Lodge No. 366 of Fresno and the Kerak Temple of the Shrine of Reno.
Survivors include his widow, Ara; daughters Evalyn Byers, Margaret Ward and Joanne Armstrong, all of Phoenix; three brothers Clement V. and Wilmer J. of Reno and Guy V. of Ely; a sister, Ruth Bercaw of Tucson, Ariz.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
