BACON, LETHA LORRAINE 87, passed away Monday, March 5, 2007 after a long illness. She was born November 27, 1919 to Thomas Bishop and Mary Clara (Eggisman) Grapes at the family home one mile west of Delhi, Iowa. She attended Delhi Consolidated School all her 12 years, graduating in 1936. On November 27, 1936 she was united in marriage to Fay Franklin Bacon. To this union four children were born; Kay Frances (Mrs. Jack Griffin) of Groveland, FL, Charles J. of Hopkinton, IA, Nicholas Fay of Webster, FL, and Penny Rae (Mrs. Phil House) of Webster, FL. Preceding her in death were her husband, Fay Bacon, her parents and three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by the four children and their spouses, 34 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren, two sisters, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Her philosophy was "God works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform" and "Something good will come out of everything". She also believed that love can conquer anything. Hate is sand in the machinery of life, love is oil. Visitation will be from 10-11AM Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Bay Lake Church. Funeral Service will be at 11AM at the Bay Lake Church. Entombment will follow to Greenwood Cemetery in Groveland. Funeral Services were entrusted to Brewer & Sons Funeral Home/Groveland Chapel, 132 E.
