Birth: Nov. 25, 1912, USA
Death: Mar. 24, 1998
North Little Rock
Pulaski County
Arkansas, USA

Opal was the daughter of:
FATHER - Bruce Huddleston and
MOTHER - Margie Huddleston.

There were also two siblings:
(1) BROTHER - Ardis
(preceeded her in death - drown
in a fishing accident at Lake Conway)
(2) BROTHER - Maurice

Her Father, Bruce Huddlestone
served for 26 years as the
Pulaski County (Ark.)
Tax Assessor.
(When she was a little girl,
Opal thought her Daddy
OWNED the Court House
where his office was located!)
Opal worked for her Daddy
at the Court House
when she was a teenager.

She was a member of the
1930 NLR High School
'OLD MAIN' Graduation Class
-- the FIRST CLASS --
schooled in the 'then'
brand new Art Deco bldg.

Her first neighborhood
was called:
'Baring Cross';
After she married,
Opal and her Husband
built a home (in 1950)
in the 'Edgemont' area
of 'Parkhill'
- all areas in
North Little Rock, Ark.

Opal Huddleston was married to:
HUSBAND - Ray Adams
The couple applied for
a marriage license
on May 5th, 1936.

They had two children
(1) SON - Tom Adams
-- married Gay Adams
(2) SON - James Adams

She was the GRANDMOTHER to
(1) GRANDSON - Steven
(2) GRANDSON - Jason
(3) GRANDSON - Bryan

"All of Nature's splendour
seems to be reflected in the
manifold opulence of fine Opals."

Was there ever a woman
more perfectly named
than this precious soul
-- 'Opal Adams'!

Mrs. Adams - shy yet determined;
devoted and fun-loving; willing
to bear difficulties with a smile.
A brother could have never hoped
for a more devoted sister. A
little kid would yearn for
someone like Opal Adams to
be on their side! Life-long
friends called her 'Number One'!

She was:
*Best buddy to her pal, Maxine -
*Made the world's greatest
coconut and chocolate pies
(with extra flakey crusts) -
*Played canista -
*Loved watching Basketball on TV -
*Adored her grandsons,
whose gigantic pooltable she endured,
as it took up most of her
family-room's floor space
(it had been built by Mr. A.) -
*Made the most delicious
lemon-pepper chicken -
*Tenderly cared for her
azelea bushes -
*A serious Methodist -
*Drove a (land yacht-sized)
green Pontiac -
*Had a huge, fighting yellow
tom cat named 'Big Boy' -
*And, (as an 80yr old woman)
was willing to jump out of bed
on a whim at 3AM (still in her PJs)
ready to go downtown and pick up
a newspaper with a special
article in it!

She was the best of the best.
This was a marvelous woman!

"We make a living
by what we get,
we make a life
by what we give."

-- Winston Churchill
