Word received Ida Hemphill died in Prescott AZ where she had gone for her health... sufferer from consumption the past few years. Husband superintendent of motive power at the C.P.& St L. shops. During her residence in this city she became a warm friend with a large number of people... dau of late Abraham Smith; she was born east of the city on a farm. Survived by husband and one child, who were with her when she departed this life. Three sisters: Mrs. Charles Price, Mrs. Frank M. Byrns, of this city; and Mrs. R. M. Galbraith of Pine Bluff AK. A brother, Charles Smith died a few months ago.
Mrs Smith was a devout Christian and shed a halo of light around her, no matter what her surroundings were. Her motto seemed to be to try and do good and she lived up to it in an eminent way.
Mr. Hemphill will leave for Jacksonville tomorrow with the remains and expects to arrive here Sat. Mr and Mrs. R. Galbraith of Pine Bluff, Ark will arrive Wed to be present at the funeral exercises.
