A L Lindsay was born August 1, 1850, in Illinois, to Greenberry Lindsay and Lyda Coulter. He was one of the oldest and best known employees of the Cotton Belt railway. He served as foreman of the bridge and building depoartment and had been with the company 28 years.

Albert Lindsay died June 25, 1914, in Tyler, at the age of 63. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Woodsmen of the World uniform rank was present for his funeral and marched to the cemetery. Mr. Lindsey was survived by his widow, and children.
