Mrs. Virginia Angeline Shallenberger Greenlee, 84 Overland Park, died Friday at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. She was born in Butler County Mo. and lived in Kansas City area since 1904. She is the daughter of Louis and Mary Shallenburger. She was the widow of John Thomas Greenlee Sr., who owned the Smith and Greenlee Furniture Co. In Midtown Kansas City for more than 40 years before he died in 1976. Mrs. Greenlee was a member and asssant secretary of the Woman's City Club from 1920 to 1925. She was a bookkeeper in the loan department of of the business Men's Assueance Co. for five years and worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Kansas City for five years. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Overland Park She leaves three sons John Thomas Greenlee Jr, and Richard Harvian Greenlee II, of Overland Park, David Stanford Greenlee Pinellas Park, Fla. 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Newcomer Overland Park Chapel burial in Oak Wood Cemetery, Corsicana, Texas friends may call from 2-to 4 p.m. today at the chapel.
