She was born in Flint, Mich., June 13, 1920, the daughter of Glenn and Anna Assmussen Holler.
She was a graduate of Flint Central High School and Ball State University with a B.A. in Education.
She was a homemaker and substitute teacher for many years.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, WSCS of the United Methodist Church, where she was a 50-year member. She taught Sunday School for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd; and a son, Larry.
Survivors include daughter, Diana Foust (Wayne) of Greencastle; grandchildren, Leanne Alford (Anthony) of Middletown, Whitney Foust Gick (John) of Newman, Ga., and Warren Foust (Farrah) of Hudsonville, Mich.; six great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Yankle of Interlochen, Mich.; daughter-in-law, Linda Conn of Middletown; two nieces and two nephews.
A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ballard & Sons, 118 S. Fifth St., Middletown, with Pastor Glenn Davis and Marty Ballard officiating.
Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery, Middletown
