Hans LeRoy Poulsen, 65, prominent stockman and woolgrower, died Thursday afternoon in a Sanpete hospital after an extended illness.
Mr. Poulsen was born in Mt. Pleasant Jan. 13, 1886, a son of Hans Peter and Sophia Monsen Poulsen. He attended local schools and later was a student at Snow college, in Ephraim. On June 24, 1908, he married, in the Manti L D S Temple, Lydia Andersen of Ephraim. They made their home in Mt. Pleasant, with the exception of 13 years while Mr. Poulsen was engaged in business in Twin Groves, Ida. He was a member of the L D S Third ward, a member of the elders quorum, and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Pioneer Historical Assn. Mrs. Poulsen died Oct. 18, 1950, and on Oct. 8, 1951, he was married in Salt Lake City to Mrs. Ruby A. Martin of Chester, who survives him.
Also surviving are three sons, Harold E. Poulsen, Safford, Ariz.; Earl A. Poulsen, Rexburg Ida.; Lynn R. Poulsen, Heber; a daughter, Mrs. Grace Estella Shail, Rexburg; 14 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. F. E. Andersen, Ogden and a brother, Shirley Poulsen, Salt Lake City.
