COWLES - Lorraine Cowles, age 56, of 716 F Street, Springfield, died at a local hospital June 2, 1976. A resident of this vicinity for the past 42 years, she was born at Haynes, North Dakota March 28, 1920 and was married to Worth F. Cowles at Vancouver, Washington November 12, 1940. She was a member of the Willamette Valley Chapter of Sweet Adelines. Surviving besides her husband, Worth, are one daughter and one son, Diane L. Stuhr of Eugene and Gary B. Cowles of Eugene; four sisters and one brother, Florence Pinkham of Springfield, Evelyn Bryant of Eugene, Marion Kramer of Springfield, Betty Rolfson of Reno and John W. Richardson of Springfield; two grandchildren; one sister, Helen Gustafson, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at the BURNS-FREDERCKSEN FUNERAL HOME in Springfield Friday, June 4th at 2 p.m. with Pastor Stanley Irvine officiating. Concluding services and interment Springfield Memorial Cemetery.
