Effie Charlotte Landers was born August 24, 1885 in Missouri, daughter of Burrell Thomas Landers (1844-1919) and Elvira Jane Duckett (1852-1920).
On February 25, 1903, in Ava, Missouri (Douglas County), Effie Charlotte Landers married George Alonza "Lon" Norick, who was born February 22, 1878, to Benjamin Franklin Norick and Amanda Ann Wilson.

Services for Mrs. Effie Charlotte Norick, 60, pioneer city resident, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Garrison funeral chapel. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday and Monday afternoons in the Garrison funeral home.
Mrs. Norick died Thursday, May 26, 1955, in Wesley Hospital. A native of Missouri, she came to Oklahoma City in 1907 and aided her husband in establishing the Norick Brothers Printing Company here. She was a member of the Methodist Church and made her home at 2306 North Council Road. She is survived by her husband, Lon Norick, of the home, and three daughters.
