Our loving Mother and Nanny, RUBY MAY HOWELL FORSHEE, 83, died Sunday, April 20, 2008.
A celebration of her life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, in Forest Park Cemetery, 3700 Saint Vincent Ave., Shreveport, La.
She was born May 27, 1924.
Mom displayed the grace and dignity that comes with a loving and giving heart. She touched many people and established a huge number of lifelong friends. She loved her family and friends unconditionally and would do anything for them. The qualities that made her the wonderful person that she was have left us all with many beautiful memories.
You gave us so much happiness and love that will remain in our hearts forever.
Survivors include three children, Carolyn Sue Rimmer of Lewisville, Texas, and Judy Kay Reeves and Charley Martin Forshee Jr., both of Flower Mound, Texas; three sons-in-law, Al Ryan, Dub Rimmer and Mark Reeves; three sisters, her twin, Truby Forshee of Shreveport, Ora Lee Dunaway of Kilgore, Texas, and Linda Pirtle of Ennis, Texas; ten grandchildren, Nevalee Noble of Minden, La., Leslie Ryan of Plano, Texas, Heather Martinez of Waxahachie, Texas, Kymberlee Anderson of Lewisville, Texas, Dubby Whitten of Haltom City, Texas, Tiffany Rimmer of Norman, Okla., Jodi Myers of Comanche, Okla., Joshua McLain of Duncan, Okla., Charley Martin Forshee III, serving with the U.S. Navy in the Persian Gulf, and April Forshee of Shreveport; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild, Skylar Ryan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley Martin Forshee Sr.; a daughter, Betty Charlene Ryan; her mother, Forrest Greer; three brothers, Harlen Howell, Clint Howell and Dale Howell; and two sisters, Lonita Goode and Lorene Goode.
