Henry was born with a disability but he never let it keep him from acheving. Henry was a member of the Woodman of the World. In the August 1958 election, Henry was a candidate for the office of Register in Lincoln County. Many people felt he would have been elected but on May 19, 1958, he died of a heart attack in his home. Not only did the family grieve, but so did many of the people of Lincoln County. One of the ways Henry and Susie helped the community was by keeping foster children. Rudd, daughter of George Washington Rudd and Martha E Mullins, on July 23, 1927, in Flintville, Lincoln, Tennessee. Paternal grandparents were John Franklin Brooks 1848-1900 buried in Shady Grove Cemetery, Lincoln Co., Tennessee and Margarete Talitha Wooton Brooks 1851-1930 buried in Mount Carmel Cemetery near Huntland, Franklin Co., Tennessee.
