Henry Franklin Brooks was the husband of Susie M Rudd 1900-1984. He was the son of Harvey Elsberry Brooks 1879-1961 and Martha Menurvie "Nurvie" Jones Brooks 1879-1961. Father of Willard Paul Brooks, Henry Gordon Brooks, David Eugene Brooks, James Edward Brooks, Clydia Joyce Brooks, and Harvey Franklin Brooks.
Henry was born with a disability but he never let it keep him from acheving. Henry was a member of the Woodman of the World. In the August 1958 election, Henry was a candidate for the office of Register in Lincoln County. Many people felt he would have been elected but on May 19, 1958, he died of a heart attack in his home. Not only did the family grieve, but so did many of the people of Lincoln County. One of the ways Henry and Susie helped the community was by keeping foster children.
