Dorothy, 94, of Charlotte, MI died Tuesday. Miss. Andrews was born the daughter of Richard and Clara Andrews.

Miss. Andrews was a teacher who taught in various colleges and high schools. Dorothy received a degree in music and taught orchestra in Morency, Ariz., Chisholm, Minn. and the Fargo, N.D. school systems. Her field of music was string instruments, piano and organ and she enjoyed teaching students for 45 years. She played violin and taught on P.B.S. for awhile.

She is survived by her cousins, Donna Rumpf of Ironwood, Edna Parks-Moore of FL. and Dale Stienback of WY. and from the families of Andrews, Russell, Charboneau, Mattson and Steinback's. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Andrews, former Washburn County Surveyor and Clara Charboneau Andrews.

Memorial services were held at the Cemetery in Earl, Wis. on Saturday, Sept. 25,2010.

Honorary pallbearers were Dale Steinback, Larry (Rusty) Holt, Gary Mattson, and Michael Woehrle.

Internment at the Russell/Andrews site.

A luncheon followed the service at the church in Earl.

I was saddened to learn of her death I had been thinking of her as late. I was her student in Junior High and we remained friend for many years afterwords. The world lost a wonderful lady and I lost a good friend and mentor may she rest in peace.
