Anderson Death

Waelder—Funeral services for Mr. Henry P. Anderson, who would have been 101 years of age on Nov. 11, were held from the Methodist Nov. 3.
Mr. Anderson died at the Holmes Memorial Hospital in Gonzales Nov. 1, following a short illness.
He was born in 1864 and was married to Miss Dora Orts in Delhi, Caldwell county in January 1891. The family lived in Caldwell county where he served as peace officer until 1910 when they moved to Gonzales county and purchased a farm some four miles east of Waelder living there until moving into the township where he served as Justice of Peace for eight years before retiring. He was member of the Methodist church.
Preceding him in death are his wife and one son. Survivors are two sons Buddie Anderson of Hallettsville and Bryant Anderson oDonna, Texas, five daughters, Mrs. Dora Pogue, Victoria, Mrs. Erma Riggle, Beeville, Mrs. Freda Fogle, Austin; Mrs. Gertrude Morris Skidmore and Mrs. Lizzy Parker of Waelder, 27 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
Interment as in the City cemetery under the direction of Koenig Funeral Home of La Grange.
Rev. David Crabtree, pastor, assisted by Rev. Claude F.O. Neal, pastor of Waelder First Baptist church offiated at the services.
