Delbert Garfield Adamson passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at his home in Murray, Utah.

Born January 22, 1918 to Delzina Pennington and Alexander Adamson. Graduated from Granite High School in 1937. Married Maxine Goulding in 1940; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Delbert was drafted in the US Army following World War II in counter intelligence, he was the owner of Adamson & Bird, a family business. He worked for Hellstrome Construction for over 30 years. Delbert liked dancing, fishing, hunting and the outdoors, he enjoyed being an Explorer leader.

Survived by his wife, children, James (Carolyn) Adamson; Sandra (Russell) Wilkinson; Scott (Vickie) Adamson; Penny (Alan) Dixon; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, grandson and wife, Trent (Mary Kay) Adamson; granddaughter; Jessica Adamson; sisters; Virginia Mann; Donna Eskelson

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Mortuary, 1007 W. So. Jordan Parkway (10600 So.) Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m.
Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens.
