COD informant was Mrs D M Gilley
~ ~ ~
Although he was born and reared in Lakeview, community, Rudolph Campbell lived in Claude when he bought his airplane 1937. A pretty two-passenger snow white plane which he christened Porterfield-70 Rudolph ways his most thrilling moment was his first solo flight. He has never had an accident and when I asked "have you ever been scared He grinned and said, "not much". Sometimes when he came flying low over our house I watch enraptured as he gracefully manipulates his wings like some gigantic bird and I thin, Is this the same pretty little blue-eyed curly-haired boy whom I have known always? And whose mother was one of the finest truest friends I ever had. I am reminded of a rather trite saying "you can never tell by the looks of a frog how far he will jump." Rudolph is the 2nd son of Jeff and Chloe Campbell. Pioneer residents of Armstrong County.
