Glen enjoyed reading, gardening, mushroom hunting and baseball. He was a member of the American Legion and coached an American Legion baseball team. He had a "green thumb" and his backyard gardens were so productive that he often put flats of produce at the curb with an invitation for passersby to help themselves.
Glen died May 1999 and was buried at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Olathe, Johnson County, Kansas (section 4, Sermon W, row 31). Catherine died 22 May 2017.
