Iva Lena Cook, 93, died March 20, 2004, at Copper Mountain Inn in Globe. She was born in Floydada, Texas, and had lived in Claypool 64 years.
During World War II, she worked at Miami Copper Company.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Leo and Jane Cook of Sunizona and Ray and Mary Cook of Cochise; two daughters and one son-in-law, Clara Young of Miami and Wynona and Jim Ceal of Mesa; two brothers, Alvin Pearson of Globe and Rubert Pearson of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; 16 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, March 24) at Miles Funeral Services Miami Chapel. Interment will follow at Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens.
