She was born in Haywood County Oct. 21, 1915, to the late James Arthur and Myra Robinson Ensley. She retired after 42 years of service with American Enka. She was a longtime member of Louisa Methodist Church. She loved to cook and to go to church. She was always doing nice things for people.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Lawrence, Sherrill, Louis, Quentin and Jim Ensley.
She is survived by her son, Roger D. Ensley Sr. and his wife Barbara of Clyde; two grandsons, Jeff Ensley and his wife Sharmon of Bethel and Dean Ensley of Greer, S.C.; and two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Michael Ensley.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery
