Deceased Name: Philip L. Snouffer
83, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday October 27, 2008. Mr. Snouffer was the owner of Capitol Building Supplies and retired in 1990. He served in the Army Air Force in World War II, Phil was also a Kentucky Colonel. Phil was an avid lifetime golfer and was a member of Hillcrest Country Club since 1960 where he was the club champion 7 times. Phil won several local and state championships in Ohio and Indiana and qualified for the U.S. Open in 1949. He had six holes in one and taught golf to many students and friends. Phil was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne Hipp Snouffer and is survived by his sons, David T., Daniel R. and James E. Snouffer; his daughter, Sarah K. Fenter; his sister, Anne Fleming; three grandchildren and his beloved partner, Margie Ginn. Funeral Services will be held Thursday October 30 at 11 a.m. in Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary (71st at Keystone). Interment will follow at Washington Park North Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday October 29 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
