Funeral services for H. W. Paarmann, 68, of 625 East 40th street, Albany, who died at a Seattle hospital Thursday following a brief illness, were held from the Fisher Funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with Rev. L. R. Hall officiating. Interment was in Williamette Memorial Park cemetery.

He was born June 28, 1877 at New Hampton, Iowa, where he learned the leather business. From this place he went to Duluth, Minn. in 1901, going from there to Seattle in 1912 and then to Albany in 1925. He has since made his home here and operated the Paarmann harness and saddlery business.

Mr. Paarmann was married June 10, 1903, at Duluth to Clara Freer, who survives him as do a daughter, Mrs. W. B. Price, and a son, W. W. Paarmann of Albany. A son, Hugh Paarmann, died in July, 1943.

His widow, Mrs. Vivian (sic) Paarmann, resides in Seattle. Mrs. Dorothy Johnston of Albany, a niece. A sister-in-law, Mrs. Josie Oatman of Albany, has made her home in the Paarmann home for a number of years.

He also is survived by a brother, Amil (sic) Paarmann, of Lake Placid, N.Y., and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Kobes and Mrs. Clara Rohlff of Davenport, Ia.; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was active in the Christian and Missionary Alliance church of Albany.

Henry William Paarmann of Albany, Oregon, passed away in a local hospital January 24, 1946. He was a former resident of Seattle, working for the Duncan & Son Co., until he moved to Albany, Oregon. Mr. Paarmann was born in New Hampton, Iowa, June 28, 1877.

Funeral services were held in Albany, Oregon, Tuesday, January 29. Local arrangements were under the direction of the Green Lake Funeral Home.

Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Clara Paarmann, two children, Mrs. W. B. Price, and William W. Paarmann, Albany, Oregon, two sisters, Mrs. Emma Kobes, Davenport, Iowa, and Mrs. Clara Rohlff, and a brother, Emil Paarmann, Lake Placid, New York.
