Born Feb. 13, 1925, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Nolan F. and Hattie Lee Terrell Prickett. He was married to the late Laverne Wilson Prickett for 40 years. He was the brother of the late Mattie Blackwell and the late Lester Prickett. He was retired from WABCO after 35 years. He was a member and director of the North Georgia Credit Company and a member of the Georgia Farm Bureau. He was a longtime cattle farmer and member of the American International Charolais Association. He was a Past President of the Carnesville Lions Club, and was voted Outstanding Lion for the 1970-71 year. He was the Franklin County Coroner from 1964 until 1976 and served as a aide to former Governor Jimmy Carter. He was a past Trustee, and member of the Men's Fellowship class of Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 11am at the Cross Roads Baptist Church with the Rev. Grady Jordan and Rev. Bill Avant.. Internment will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family is at the home. The family will receive friends from 5pm until 8pm Saturday and 3 until 5pm Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
