Moses Blackwelder was the son of Jeremiah Blackwelder 1797-1856 and Sarah Lipe Blackwelder 1800-1870. He married Mary Ann Lastinger on 21 Nov 1850 in Olustee, Baker, Florida. Mary was born 11 Jan 1834 in Clinch Co., GA and d. 17 May 1879 in Bradford Co., FL. They had the following children: Reuben Blackwelder 1851-Bef 1920, Martin Vanburen Blackwelder 1852-1913, Moses Blackwelder 1854-1857,Julia Blackwelder 1856-?, Betty Ann Blackwelder 1859-1867, Matilda Blackwelder 1858 -1924, Sarah Carolina 1860-1861, William Aaron Blackwelder 1862-1920, Paul Elias Blackwelder 1866-1867, Mary Jane Blackwelder 1869-1897, Emily Penina Blackwelder 1871-1900, John Guilford Blackwelder 1873-1933, and Frances Elendor Blackwelder 1875-1965.
