Jacob was married twice. His first wife was Rachel Kelly who he married on Dec. 20, 1804 in Anne Arundel Co., MD. They had twelve children:
Susannah, Robert F., Jacob M., Susan, Ellen, Rachel, Caroline, Sharlotte, Mary Anne, Elizabeth, Margaret, & Mordica Caples.
Jacob's second wife was probably a cousin, Sarah Ann Caple who he married on April 23, 1840 in Carroll Co., MD.
It would be helpful to know if there is a source other than someone's family tree for Larkin being Jacob's middle name. It does not appear in any census, in his will, or on his gravestone.
