Her father, Jacob Thomas died in the Civil War and is buried in Virginia.
Her mother Maria Barlow Thomas & siblings, Emily & Charles Thomas and Annie Fetter are also buried at William Penn.
Mary was a very talented dressmaker. She was a seamstress, embroiderer, and crocheter.
She made beautiful lace doilies, tablecovers and bed spreads.
Mary never married. She was best friends with Elizabeth Eckley (1862-1938)
