Wylie B. Capshaw, 77, of Grand Coulee, died Thursday, Apr. 13, at Coulee Community Hospital of age-related causes.
Wylie was born Aug. 3, 1928, in Grays, Woodruff, Arkansas to Robert and Alice (Epperson) Capshaw. He married Ethel Henderson on April 5, 1947. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this month.
Wylie worked in the forestry industry until his retirement. They made their home in Forks, Wash., until moving to Grand Coulee in 1986. They have made Grand Coulee their home since that time.
Wylie loved fishing and baseball. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Ethel at the family home in Grand Coulee; three sons: Benjamin, Michael and Robert; his daughter Sandy Sorg; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister Lucile Kessler.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 22, at Fir Lane Funeral Home in Spanaway, Wash.
Burial followed at Fir Lane Memorial Park.
Arrangements were under the direction of Strate Funeral Home of Grand Coulee.
