Jean Louise Jenkins was born Jean Louise Seaton(orginal family spelling was Seton) My mom is a direct decendant of Elizabeth A. Seton (E.A Seton was her great, great, great grandmother on her fathers side) E.A Seton is the first cannonized ordained Saint in the United States. She started the first Paroc. School. There is more information online on this decendant of my mother.
My mother was born is Oil City, Pa to David Seaton and Maude Seaton.
Jean married Jordan Jenkins in 1954. She was the loving mother of 5 children. One child predeceased her, a son, Eric Dean. Her 4 other childern were daughters.
Jean devoted her life to being a devoted and loving mother and wife to her family. She was very creative, always taking on new creative interests. One of her many creative avenues she enjoyed was oil painting, which she became very accomplished at. Jean also loved to fish. Her husband Jordan and her shared many fishing/camping trips to Lake Okeechobee. I honestly cannot call Jean a good cook, no she was a great cook!!. Of all her accomplishments the most important one was she was loving mother, always willing to listen without judging.
