The following obituary was published in the Laurel Outlook, Laurel, MT, Wednesday, 11 Jul 1962, pg 7- Graveside Services Held for Mrs Effie Edman:
PARK CITY- Funeral services, directed by the Cashmore Memorial Chapel, were held at 2 pm Friday, July 6, 1962 at the City Park Cemetery for Mrs Effie Edman who died Wednesday, July 4, 1962 in the Stillwater Community Hospital. The Rev Monte Slusher of Fromberg Methodist Church officiated. Casket bearers were R Brown,C V Eastlick,John Eisemann Sr, Arthur Carpenter, Henry Kaiser, and Philip Wagner. Mrs Joe L Southworth of Laurel sang "Abide With Me".
Mrs Edman was born June 19, 1881 in New York State. She came to Park City in 1903. She had been a patient in the Columbus Nursing Home for the past 12 years, Her husband, Chris Edman, preceded her in death in 1935. Mr and Mrs Philip Wagner and family of Bismarck, ND were here for the funeral. Mrs Edman was Philip Wagner's step-grandmother.
