Barbara Kittrell Hogue
Barbara Kittrell Hogue, 60, a native of Linn, Mississippi and a resident of New Orleans for 28 years, passed away on Thursday, October 18th, after a long illness.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Eades Hogue, a daughter, Priestley Hogue Frank and her husband, Benjamin B. Frank, Jr., a grandchild, Mary Eades Frank, all of New Orleans; and her sisters, Ann Roncali (Frank) and Beverly Miller (William) of Cleveland, Mississippi, and Debbie Wanko (Greg) of Mandeville, La.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her sons, John Forrest Walter Hogue and Lloyd Eades Hogue, Jr., and her parents, Ira and Pauline Kittrell.
She was a member of Rayne Memorial United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Orleans Parish Republican Women, a former member of the Krewe of Iris, and for many years was a docent in the cooking program at Hermann-Grima Gallier Historic House. She was the former alumni coordinator for The Tulane University School of Engineering.
Funeral services will be held today at 11:00 a.m. at Rayne Memorial United Methodist Church, 3900 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, La. Visitation will be at the church today from 10:00 a.m. until the service. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, October 21st at 1:45 p.m. at the North Cleveland Cemetery in Cleveland, Mississippi.
