Thomas BOUSTEAD WAS PIONEER CARPENTER
Thomas Boustead was born in Westmorland, Parish of Orton, England, and died at the age of 86 years.
He came to Harrison county in 1869 and settled in Douglas township where he lived until two years ago.
Mr. Boustead was a carpenter by trade. The first house he built here was for Josiah Coe. He made the first box window frames with sash and weights in this section.
The deceased is survived by eight children, three having passed on to the Great Beyond. The living are Mrs. Maggie Birks and Mrs. Charles Ely of Pacific Grove, California; Mrs. J.W.Towne, Coeru d' Alene, Idaho; Mrs. Kate Mills, Los Angeles,California; Anthony Shipley Boustead of Ladysmith, Wisconsin; John and E.B. and Mrs. Anna Erlywine of Woodbine, Iowa.
His wife preceede him in death. Beside the relatives mentioned above he leaves two brothers and one sister, Mrs. Isabella Danks, John H.L. Boustead and Robert B.Boustead.
