Richard Parley Bloss's paternal great-great-grandparents were Nicholas and Françoise/Frances (née Petitjean) Ducray of Gondenans-les-Moulins, France, who emigrated in 1839 with their nine children to Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, and had two more children there (see "HARDY PIONEER FAMILY" online).
His paternal great-grandparents were Charles Celestin Ducray and his first wife Ann (née Waters).
His paternal grandparents were James Pierce and Linnie (née Harrell) DuCray.
His parents were Ruth Hannah (née DuCray) and Raldo Lorimor Bloss.
His sister and brothers were:
James Allen Bloss (1922-2004 May 8)
Ione Ruth Bloss Fink (1925-2004 April 15)
Max Elmo Bloss (born 1928)
Sadly, their parents passed away very young. Ruth Hannah passed away at only 23 on January 1, 1929, when Max Elmo was just a baby, and Richard Parley was only 2. Raldo passed away on January 1, 1931, at only 27.
Richard Parley's parents and his older brother James Allen are at rest together in Clover Cemetery in Collbran, Mesa County, Colorado. His brother James Allen and sister Ione Ruth passed away three weeks apart in 2004 (he passed away in Utah, she in California). Richard Parley passed away in 1985.
