CLYDE WILLIAM BASS
"Funeral services for Clyde William Bass, 91, of Lawrence, KS was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary with Reverend Virgil Brady officiating. Mr. Bass died Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He moved to Clinton, Kansas, from Humansville in 1953 and later to Lawrence.
He was born 26 September 1904, in Jerico Springs, the son of William Franklin and Nancy Elizabeth Brown Bass.
Mr. Bass worked for MFA Feed in Humansville and later managed the MFA Grocery Store before moving to Clinton, KS. He worked at Sunflower Ordinance from 1953 until he retired in 1960.
He was baptized in the Half Way Baptist Church in Half Way. He loved to garden and work with stock cattle.
He was married to Oma Jenkins on 15 September 1928 in Bolivar. She died 2 August 1991.
He is survived by his daughter, Lora Lee Eberhart of Lawrence, Kansas; one grandchild and two great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence, KS. Clyde Bass worked for MFA Feed in Humansville and later managed MFA Grocery Store before moving to Clinton, Kansas and later Lawrence, Kansas. He worked at Sunflower Ordinance from 1953 until he retired in 1969. Was baptized in the Half Way Baptist Church, Halfway, Missouri.

He has two brothers buried at Round Prairie Cemetery, Milford, Missouri. They do not have any head stones on their graves. Clyde was the seventh of 8 children.

During 1917 & 1918 he attended Liberal School and was in the 5th grade.
