Ann Marcella Alford, of Sammamish, died in Redmond on Thursday, January 31, 2005. She was 89 years of age.

Mrs. Alford was born on August 19, 1915 in Rolfe, Iowa, the daughter of James and Emma Cornwell. She came from "good pioneer stock" from Iowa; she was one of nine children. She worked as a secretary for the Federal Government where she met her future husband John Alford. They married on January 9, 1982 in Issaquah, WA.

Mrs. Alford was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Sammamish, WA. Known to her husband as "Marci May", she was a sweet, attractive and lovable little old lady. John and Marci enjoyed motor home traveling in their retirement.

Survivors include her husband, John; stepchildren, Kelly Ann Alford of Renton, WA and Alan John Alford of Redding, CA; two grandchildren Mitchell and Gracyn; and her sister, Veronica Manary of Bonita, CA.

A memorial mass will be held 12 PM Thursday, February 3, 2005 at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church Hill, 1121 228th Ave. SE, Sammamish, WA 98075. Private inurnment will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in San Diego, CA.... Arrangements are by Flintofts Issaquah Funeral Home, 425-392-6444.
