Mr. C. C. Nunn Dead. At his home, near Oconee church, on last Monday, occurred the death of Mr. C. C. Nunn. He has been seriously ill several weeks, when death came to end his suffering. His remains were interred in the Oconee burial ground on Tuesday, Rev. L. A. Henderson of Maysville preaching the funeral. Talks were also made by other friends of the deceased. Mr. Nunn was 63 years of age, and leaves a wife and eight children, besides a large family connection, and hundreds of friends, to mourn his death. He was one of Jackson county's splendid citizens, and his death removed from our midst one whose influence was always on the side of justice, uprightness, and integrity.

In Memory of C. C. Nunn. Was born May 15, 1848; joined the Baptist church at Oconee in 1864. He first married Miss Mollie Evans, February, 1872; to them were born six children, four boys and two girls; two of the boys passed away in infancy; his wife died 1890. He then married Miss Bettie Hardy; to them were born four children, three boys and one girl. He having passed away last Monday morning April 29. His body was consigned to Oconee cemetery Tuesday evening, in the presence of one of the largest assemblies I ever saw at Oconee graveyard. The funeral was conducted by his pastor, Rev. L. A. Henderson.
I have been intimately acquainted and associated with Croff for fifty five years, and in all those years I have never known a more generous or true-hearted man. His wife and companion has lost a kind and affectionate husband, the children a loving father, the aged mother her main stay, the brothers and sisters a true brother, the church one of her best deacons, the Sunday school her assistant superintendent, the community a neighbor that will be greatly missed. Weep not, dear ones; he has only gone to sleep, to await the resurrection morning.
