Funeral service for Richard Nelson Hughes, 74, who died at his home near Livingston early Saturday morning were held at 4:30 Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist Church, Rev W. B. Wadsworth and Rev. A. E. Riemann officiated. Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Mr Hughes was born in Alabama but had been a resident of livingston for many years.
Mr Hughes was predeceased by his wife Cara Bell Thomas 16 Dec 1936.
He is survived by five daughters, Mrs R. O. Cherry, New Waverly; Mrs J. P. Lovett, Juneau, Alaska; Mrs Ed Thomas, Livingston; Mrs L. Z. Bean, Houston; and Miss Nellie Jewel Hughes, Livingston; two sons, Eddie and Pat Hughes both of Livingston.
