Joseph Marion Hill, 729 South Third Ave., died Sunday at Duncan[Dunklin] County Memorial Hospital, Kennett, Mo., where he had been a patient for 18 days. He was 81.
A native of Faulkner County, Mr. Hill had been a resident of Greene County for 46 years. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ollie Hill; four sons, Joel Hill, Deloy Hill and Jerry Hill, all of Paragould, and Loyall Hill, St. Louis, Mo.; five daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Thomason, Mrs. Burian[Bivian] Mears, Mrs. Ledell Robertson, Mrs. Avalee Davis and Mrs. Ollie Jo Stanfill, all of Paragould; three brothers, Earnest Hill, Ward. Herman Hill, Miles Mich., and Warren Hill, Coos Bay, Ore. and three sisters; Mrs. May Walters, Forrest City, Mrs. Bertha Hobbs, Kensett, and Mrs. Mary Lee Permenter, Quitman. Thirty grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Friendship Church with Rev. Vaudie Humphrey, Lake City, officiating.
Burial will be in New Friendship Cemetery with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge.
