Born in Fieldale, Virginia on October 24, 1926, she moved to Callaway, Florida in June 1957. Edith was a member of the First Baptist Church of Callaway and a former member of East Bay Baptist Church where she had been a charter member since 1973. She was a Foster Parent in Bay County for 29 years, fostering over 100 children.She was preceded in death by SMSgt Robert H. Anders, Sr., her husband of 40 years.She is survived by her daughters; Pat Bastendorf (Doug) of Parker, FL, and Donna Seedorf (Tommy) of Wake Forest, NC, her sons; Bob Anders (Carol) of Montgomery, AL, and Bill Anders (Nina) of Vernon, FL, her 8 grandchildren; David Bastendorf, Emily Breezee (Ryan), Nate Seedorf, Robert Anders, Chad Anders, Kevin Seedorf, Patti Alday (Jesse) and Rebecca Keith, and 5 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Callaway with Reverend Gene Hodges officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.The family would like to thank the administration and staff of Emerald Shores Health and Rehabilitation for their thoughtfulness and compassion for our Mom. We also wish to thank all of Mom's friends for your prayers, cards and visits.
