EVANSVILLE, IN... BENNETT, JAMES W., 71, of Evansville, died Thursday, November 10, 2005, at Deaconess Hospital. He worked for the American Federation of Government Employees where he was the past president of the Fort Knox Chapter. He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Bozo" and Emma Bennett; wife, Peggy Bennett, in 1988; and sister, Marilyn Kloke, in May 2005. James is survived by his son, James W. Bennett Jr., of Franklin, IN; son, Jeff Bennett, of Louisville, KY; daughter, Rhonda Bennett, of Louisville; daughter, Lora Bennett, of Evansville, IN; daughter, Luan Bennett, of Evansville; sister, Judy Pugh, of Evansville; grandchildren, Robert, Michele, Joe, Bill, Emily, and John; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2005, at Howell General Baptist Church, 1520 Delmar Avenue, officiated by Reverend Terry Gamblin.
