Born Nov. 8, 1905, at Horse Cave, Ky., he was the son of Will and Elizabeth (Richardson) Barlow.
He married Mary (Sebastian) Barlow in June 1975, and she survives.
Mr. Barlow worked at Spiegel Corp., Shelbyville, and was a maintenance laborer for the city of Shelbyville before retiring.
Mr. Barlow was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Second Baptist Church.
Other survivors include a stepdaughter, Mrs. William (Cevellia) Wilder, Detroit; a stepson, Lucien R. Taliaferro, Detroit; 14 stepgrandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two stepsons.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jasper Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, with military graveside services conducted by local veterans organizations.
