Robert Wayne Andersen (sic), youngest child of Peter and Lena Andersen (sic), was born August 15, 1929, on a farm near Nelson, Nebr. He passed away in an accidental death, on Highway 6 near Friend, Nebraska, early Sunday, May 28, 1950.
His childhood was spent on the farm and where he attended the Highland country school. He graduated with honors from the public school of Nuckolls County. He was baptized in infancy in the Presbyterian Church at Nelson, Neb., and was a regular attendant at both S.S. and church services at that place.
In the fall of 1942 the family moved to Omaha where Robert enrolled as a freshman at North High and graduated with good record in May 1946. He was a serious minded, hard working student. He became active in the R.O.T.C. during his H.S. years. On September 25, 1946, Robert enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served with the Army of Occupation in Japan for one and one half years.
At the opening of the school term of 1948-49 Robert enrolled under the G.I. Bill at the University of Omaha. Later he became a full-time employee in a Omaha Business firm. On October 1, 1949 Robert was united in marriage with Miss Bonnie Jean Stillwagoon. Robert was a member of Central Park Congregational Church, in which he took special interest in the Athletic program.
His friends are numbered in many communities. His sunny smile and cheery "Hello" will be greatly missed.
