WALTER MONROE ASH
GRAFORD - Walter Monroe Ash, a pharmacist and retired owner of Ash Drug Store in Graford, died Wednesday in Parker County. He was 88.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Mineral Wells.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth.
Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ash was born in Buckner, Ark., and had lived in Mineral Wells since 1948. He was a graduate of Danforth Pharmacy School in Fort Worth and operated his store from 1954 until 1983, when he retired and closed the pharmacy.
Mr. Ash was a member of Graford Baptist Church, past master of the Graford Masonic Lodge No.1026, a past patron of the Graford Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 920, a member of Palo Pinto County Shrine Club, Fort Worth Commandry and Moslah Temple, a charter member and past director of the Palo Pinto County Civil Defense, a Graford FFA honorary Chapter Farmer and past director of Palo Pinto County Farm Bureau.
Survivors: Son, Barry Harmon Ash of Graford; and two grandchildren.
