Marie Manwaring Campbell
Marie Manwaring Campbell, 66, died of cancer December 31, 1996 at her home in Provo, Utah.
She was born July 2, 1930 in Vernal, Utah to Dee and Mary Manwaring and was the eldest of five children.She graduated from Unitah High School in Vernal and, soon after, married James E. Campbell in the Logan LDS Temple on July 27, 1949 on July 27, 1949. During Jim and Marie's life together, they lived in Utah, Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, and Michigan.
Marie was the mother of seven children. She loved traveling to visit her children and grandchildren who were her greatest joy. She was an outstanding homemaker. She loved to sew, quilt, grow beautiful gardens, and cook wonderful meals for her family. Everyone who came to her home felt welcomed and loved.
During her life she was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in all the auxiliaries. Of special note, she served as Relife Society president in four different wards. She always supporterd her husband in his church callings which included regional representative and stake president. She was an ordiance worker in the Provo LDS Temple and was a Daughter of the Utah Pioneers.
Marie is survived by her husband, James E. Campbell, three sons and four daughters: Craig (Sharee), Palos Verdes, CA; Cheryl Davis (Larry), Highland, UT; Robert (KayLynn), Pocatello, ID; Richard, Mesa, AZ; Suzanne Wilbur (Rick), Orange, CA; Stephanie Brown (Gary), Atlanta, GA; and Julie Sppencer (Bob), Portland, OR; and 23 grandechildren. She is also survived by two sisters: Elaine Roberts (Lowell), Roosevelt, UT; Ila Morrill (Brent), Manhattan, KS; and two brothers: Gene Manwaring (Marilyn), Centerville, UT; Wayne Manwaring (Chris), Orem, UT.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 1997, at 10 a.m. in Grandview 9th Ward chapel, 1555 N. 1350 W. in Provo, UT. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 E. Center, on Friday evening 6-8 p.m. or at the chapel on Saturday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests th at contributions be made to the Huntsman Cancer Institute, University and 200 South, Salt Lake City, UT .
Marie's Christ-like life was an inspiration to us all.

Marie Manwaring was the daughter of Dee Lavar Manwaring & Mary Maria Molmar Manwaring.
She married James Campbell.
She was buried January 4, 1997 in the Provo City Cemetery.
